Careers

We have offices in Wimbledon Village and Epsom, both of which are well served by public transport and are located a short walk from mainline rail stations. We opened our second outpost in Epsom in 2017, enabling us to offer our approachable service to clients in Surrey. In 2023 our Epsom office moved into Park Place House to enable us to further grow our team and offering of legal services.

We are keenly involved in our business communities and maintain strong links with the Wimbledon Village Business Association. In Epsom, we founded the Epsom Property Business Network and are involved in the running of the Epsom Business Club.

We look for enthusiastic team players with a keen initiative, ready to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues. Peacock & Co has grown organically across our two offices and we strive to support our team with a lively and engaging work environment. We have a social committee, responsible for informal team events and we also participate in local events such as the Wimbledon Rounders and Surrey Legal Walk. We have four appointed mental health first-aiders.

Being part of our community is important to us. Each year Peacock & Co supports a charitable organisation local to our offices in Wimbledon and Epsom. This year our charity is Multiple Sclerosis Society Merton. We are also supporters of Wimbledon Guild and Epsom & Ewell Citizens Advice.

At Peacock & Co you will enjoy a generous holiday allowance; pension; private medical insurance; death in service cover; a cycle to work scheme; social events and an annual subsidised ski trip.

Peacock & Co strives to create a workplace that reflects the communities and clients we serve. We do not discriminate on the basis of age, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexuality or disability. We are a diverse team, keen to further equal opportunity and are committed to fostering inclusivity for all. We believe our differences are an asset and aim to promote a supportive environment.

Trainee Solicitor

We are currently accepting applications for a trainee solicitor for our September 2026 intake. Closing deadline is 30 April 2026.

Our training contracts offer exposure to contentious and non-contentious work. Whilst the successful candidate’s wishes will be taken into account, seats will be determined by business needs.

The experience in different seats will help you to decide which area of law you are most interested in and to start developing the versatility and vision essential to becoming a trusted legal adviser to your clients. These will always include a seat in both Residential Property department and/or the Private Client department, so an interest in these areas is essential.

The successful candidate will need to have a minimum 2:1 degree.

Your supervising partner will regularly meet with you to discuss your progress and will also give you a full review at the end of each seat. You will also receive regular informal feedback. These opportunities provide a forum for you to discuss your progress and how to develop your legal knowledge, skills and experience.

This contract will allow you to complete the minimum two years’ Qualifying Work Experience (QWE).

Organisational and IT skills are essential.

The working environment is friendly and supportive, and trainees are given exposure to a range of matters in each seat and good quality work.  In return, our trainees are expected to take responsibility for their career, doing what it takes to ensure that their knowledge and competence develops over the two years.

To apply, please send Karen Webbe a covering letter and a full CV to [email protected], or you can contact her for more information.
